MUNICH, June 2009 – BURGER KING GmbH launched their new gourmet WHOPPER™ Bar concept in Europe on June 15th and confirmed to continue here with TOSHIBA TEC EPOS hardware and software. The first WHOPPER™ Bar in Europe is located at the ‘Einstein’ shopping center in Munich.

TOSHIBA TEC is the designated EPOS solution provider for BURGER KING® system in Europe and supports company-owned and franchisee BURGER KING® restaurants throughout the region with the latest EPOS technology and a 24/7 maintenance team.

TOSHIBA TEC installed and will maintain a standard WHOPPER™ Bar hardware and software solution of four WILLPOS A20 EPOS terminals, four cash drawers, four credit card machines, four TRST-A15 double sided guest printers, two CRT screens, two Linerless Sandwich printers and two TRST-A15 Expediter full order printer. WHOPPER™ Bar will also run the BURGER KING® back-office Antara software suite from TOSHIBA TEC.

According to Masamichi Kusunoki, TOSHIBA TEC Europe CEO, the WILLPOS A20 is aimed at a growing demand within the retail and hospitality industries for POS terminals that break free of traditional restraints.
